SeaUrchin™:
- Is sited underwater and is visually unobtrusive;
- Has minimal impact on the ocean bed;

- Is safe for most marine life to pass through the quiet, slow-rotating turbine. In areas where large marine life exists such as migration routes for whales, seals and dolphins, a protection shield can be fitted to the front of the SeaUrchin or sonar transponders fitted to deter large marine mammals;
- Is scalable and modular to match energy usage and site locations as required; and
- When appropriately deployed, provides constant or predictable power to the electricity grid.
